About Us
Fashion conscience from a very young age, international fashion stylist and designer Dior Lo founded Les Branchés in 2007. Dior Lo was exposed to a variety of styles and cultures that she incorporates into her style today. It was her love for fashion that ultimately brought her to many country around the world. Dior Lo spent most of her life between Paris and Dakar before she moved to Washington DC area more than a decade ago. Known for her boundless energy, Dior Lo has an eye for detail and style, and a passion for fashion. Dior was always very interested in clothes: colors, materials... and ultimately the fashion industry. She manifested her passion at a young age making clothes for her dolls in her mother’s workshop. Dior Lo has fashion design in her blood. While other kids were outside playing, Dior was inside sewing and draping alongside her mother, a successful international fashion designer.With a background in fashion and enthusiasm for art, fashion styling and designing came naturally for Dior Lo. This became her outlet for artistic expression. Her drive, her focus, her positive energy and fast paced style come through on every project. Dior Lo’s creative vision runs the gamut from masculine to feminine and from vintage to modern. Her versatility and her talent for merging edgy with classic sets her apart from the rest. Not to mention that her dynamic personality and strong presence on set/location is essential to the creative process on each and every job that she takes on. These unique qualities that Dior Lo exudes not only as a stylist, but as a creative mind keeps her in high demand for her creations. Dior’s signature collection “Afro-chic,” features fine fabrics and accessories with a touch of tribal inspired details, and construction and design that allows the client's personality to shine through. Her goal wasto create comfortable clothing for women to radiate confidence and “"swagger"”.Committed to empowering and inspiring, Dior is also a philanthropist and activist. She believes in the importance of giving back to the community. Dior Lo, who is also true to the purity of her art, decided to venture our and raise awareness for human trafficking. Earlier this year, Dior started a new project, “THE BEAUTIFUL BRANCHES PROJECT”, which is part of Les Branchés Company. This was created to empower women of all ages and backgrounds to build and maintain a healthy sense of self-worth. She continues to develop opportunities to educate,nurture and promote their God-given talents in order to enable them to have the greatest positive impact on the lives of others. This is just one of the ways in which she’s shown her selflessness by giving back to her community. Dior’s goals are to bring together groups of people in solidarity, and to help women explore and strengthen their self-image. She believes that through fashion, she will help one woman at a time and raise awareness about the unique obstacles they all face around the world. Her first project with “THE BEAUTIFUL BRANCHES PROJECT” is geared towards raising awareness about “skin bleaching,” a process used by some women to lighten their skin.Dior took a bold step toward, launching her brand, Les Branchés and developing a platform from which to express her vision and bring her creations to the marketplace. With a background in fashion design and merchandising, Dior is ready to take Les Branchés to the next level. Les Branchés derives from the French word “branché,” which means "trendy". Keep your eyes open as Dior Lo continues to blaze trails in the fashion industry.
